After taking all the findings from the amount of 2nd Series owned by collectors i could gather there are 121 known figures (not 100% correct). Of that 121 there are 28 Blue, 31 Green, 33 Red and 29 Yellow. It was suprising to find that of the 4 colours that Blue was the lowest found colour seeming as most traded and auctioned seemed to be Blue.

Here we take a look at greens and the 'anomalous effect' that only seems to be present in this colour variant.

A quote from Cheaptoyman:

During my intense global searches for "Novo Bonbon issued" Cheap Toys I've discovered Canadian collectors, dealers (and everyday people) who oftentimes "ask questions" and show great interest in the 2nd Series figures. The most common question I get asked by Canadian Cheap Toy owners is "Why does the Green color fade or gradate on my Green figures?" I've never given a firm response to this question...only hypothetical guesses. My theory is that the "green dye" used in the 2nd Series greens is susceptible to changes. I've noticed that the gradation is quite subtle in some 2nd Greens...with many 2nd Series Greens also appearing as the solid green (like the Green Dot I received from Dr. Soups).

Could this be a case of the figures fading quicker than other colours ? Or when the figures were produced at various times the Green Dye used was at different levels at different times ?

Here is a Green Mouth Phil example owned by a collector from Ontario...Check out the differences in his front and back hues...the collector also informed me that this is how the figure appeared when it was pulled from the pack...

Yet taking a look at this example of a Distorted Dot she seems to be what i would call a perfect Green

So there we have it, an anomalous effect ? A fading effect ? or just a production error ? You can deciede

Sell Sheet

This is probably the No1 Holy Grail in the 2nd Series collection, the elusive Sell Sheet. Not much is known about it and as far as we know through collectors it is not in anyones collections. Was the image just used for advertising and in fact none actually made it into circulation ? or is there some out there waiting to be discovered ? The artwork contains an opened box with unopened packs, the candy, a checklist and all 10 figures in the 4 various colours. Of the 10 colour variants shown on the sell sheet the Blue Mouth Phil, Red Picky Mickey and Yellow Distorted Dot have turned out to be the rarest with only a total of 5 found. Maybe one day it will surface but until then we can just enjoy the low quality pic lol

Fishy Phyliss in my opinion was another odd choice of card to sculpt and comes in my bottom 2 of 2nd Series figures. All 4 colours have been discovered with the yellow and blue versions being the rarest of the 4 with only 2 of each known to exsist within 2nd Series collectors. Red seems to be the most common colour with 7 having been discovered then Green with 3. (stats not 100% accurate) The figure can vary on value.

The blue version could command a lot being the only colour variant known tio exsist in that sculpt.

Yellow seems to be the most common colour with 4 having been discovered then Green and Red both with 3. (stats not 100% accurate) The figure can vary on value with the last being sold for $180.

Box

Here is probably one of two Holy Grails for Series 2 collectors, the Box. The box is very different from its Series 1 predecessor, for starters the only character shown on the box is Adam Bomb. This time rather than being surrounded by trash bags there are garbage cans instead with the garbage candy coming from them. The bag count is listed the same with 24 bags and the weight is listed as 264g. The language is listed in both English and French with P'titts Choux De Poubelles Jouets Minables Avec Bobon D' echets Et 1 Jouet listed on front side and left side and the English words Garbage Pail Kids Cheap Toys with Garbage Candy Plus 1 Toy on the back side and right side. There is a big red star with the English words 'All New 2nd Series' which can be found and the top, right side and back side, on the left side and front side this is in French with the words 'Toute Nouvelle Serie'.

Only two of these are known to exsist, the one pictured is owned by Griswold and is the nearest to pefect condition of the two. The other is owned by Max Russel but is missing the lid although the sides and the back look to be in slightly better shape. The latter is for sale on Ebay now with a BIN price of $599.95 although this is way over priced due to the condition and missing lid. It is unknown what price a box would fetch if a perfect condition example was discovered or if there are actually any more in exsistance ? The complete box owned by Griswold was in fact full of sealed bags when purchased in Canada although all have since been opened.

Checklist

The checklist is longer than the Series 1 but less wide. It contains the 10 figures released in the Series, Still Jill, Mouth Phil, Ali Gator, Galloping Glen, Berserk Kirk, Catty Kathy, Les Vegas, Picky Mickey, Distorted Dot and Fishy Phyliss. The colour of the print is almost if not identical to the 1st Series Checklist. The writing is also in English and also French due to its distribution only in Toronto, Canada. The price of these to obtain can vary from around $10 to $30 but are usually only obtained when sold with empty wrappers. It has also been discovered that the checklists came both with glossy backs and matte backs to them .

Here we have the Wrapper & Checklist. The wrapper is very much like the 1st Series but printed at the top is Novo Bonbon instead of Topps and a big red star is on the bottom left containing the words 'All New 2nd Series'. The back has the French words P'titts Choux De Poubelles along with the information about being distributed by Novo Bonbon INC, Toronto, ONT, Canada. The price of these to obtain can vary from around $10 to $30 and usually are sold with the checklist.

Here is a picture of a ultra rare sealed 2nd Series Cheap Toy. I'm not even sure how many of these exsist in collections or the value if there were to be sold.
